Exciting news – my video artwork ‘Utopia’ has been selected for the 2014 Beams Arts Festival.

‘Derryn Tal mesmerizes onlookers in Utopia, a projection of hallucinogenic, hypnotic and meditative imagery, which turns the walls of the street into a swirling mass of colour and movement’

Sally Betts, Mayor of Waverley, loves her new artworks by Derryn Tal.

Derryn has recently collaborated with Designer Rugs, where she exhibited her current ‘Fluidity’ range of artworks. Her rug design is inspired by her ‘Fluidity’ artworks, but simplified into 5 colours, integrating bold & subtle nuances, & merging textures of wool with the silkiness of ‘Art Silk’, resulting in an organic & dynamic design.

Derryn recently had the honour of being commissioned by the Jewish Board of Deputies, to create a painting,  as a gift to the outgoing Israeli Ambassador, Yuval Rotem, to commemorate his term in Australia.

Yuval CommissionNSW Premier Barry O Farrell joined 600 community leaders, MPs, diplomats and distinguished guests to celebrate Israel’s 65th Independence Day.

It was an opportunity to honour outgoing Israeli Ambassador Yuval Rotem, who was presented with an original artwork painted by local artist Derryn Tal. From left: Yair Miller, Premier Barry O’Farrell, Ambassador Yuval Rotem, Richard Balkin, Gabrielle Upton MP, Peter Wertheim AM

I have recently traveled to New York. My highlight was the day I spent in Chelsea.  The Art Galleries in Chelsea are awe-inspiring. The scale, presentation & shear caliber of artwork  was exceptional. love art when one can actually appreciate the technical skill and aesthetics.  I am pleased & proud to say that I have exhibited in Chelsea. I have recently received invitations to exhibit at the Florence Biennale & also a private gallery in Florence. Unfortunately, I have not been able to accept the offers.Exhibiting in Ferrara Italy a few years ago, however, was an experience I will never forget....
