Derryn Tal's latest 2011 solo exhibition- 'Waxing Lyrical', showcases a variety of mediums, including a series of miniature wax and oil paintings; a range of steel sculptures inspired by the relationship between landscape and the figurative form, reaching up to 2.5 metres in height; acrylic panels based on acrylic paint on photographic emulsion paper; and mixed media on canvas.
Derryn Tal was one of 17 artists selected to exhibit in the 'Out from Downunder and Beyond' exhibition at the Agora Gallery in New York in May 2010.
Derryn was also selected to participate in the 'Imaginary Journeys' International Art Exhibition, where she won the "Premio Ercole D'Este" award. The exhibition took place in the landmark Estense Castle, Ferrara, Italy, 2009, and showcased selected contemporary artists from all around the world.
